If you want to book your test online there are no hidden fees when using the official dvsa online booking service at :

Once booked you will recive a booking reference number via email.

The current cost of a theory test is  £ 23.00

You are required to give a minimum of 3 clear working days notice to cancel the theory test, if not you will lose your test fee and will have to pay again.

The DVSA are required to make every effort to ensure that the theory test can be taken by all candidates. 

So it is important that you notify them of any special needs or requirements when booking the test.

You must take the following items to the test centre

1. your valid driving licence

2. your appointment letter/email. or a note of your booking reference number

Its extremely important that you arrive in good time, so that your documents can be checked and you checked in.

If you arrive late you will not be allowed to sit the test and you will lose your fee, and will have to pay again.
